There’s something about these 3 peculiar sister that just enraptured my heart。 The way Betty trusted herself and did what she had to do to save her sisters。 The way the adults were present and although absent for most of the drama, had a genuine reason for not being there to allow the girls to get up to their usual mischief。 I’ll admit I’m going to miss Charlie and her passion for animals and sweets。 Fliss and her confusing teenage ways and Betty who was logical, inquisitive and always put her f There’s something about these 3 peculiar sister that just enraptured my heart。 The way Betty trusted herself and did what she had to do to save her sisters。 The way the adults were present and although absent for most of the drama, had a genuine reason for not being there to allow the girls to get up to their usual mischief。 I’ll admit I’m going to miss Charlie and her passion for animals and sweets。 Fliss and her confusing teenage ways and Betty who was logical, inquisitive and always put her family and especially her sisters first。 I loved how accurate the tones of these characters were on page no matter what adventure we faced。 I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again I truly believe Michelle Harrison could write some seriously amazing YA or adult stories that are twisty dark character driven stories that capture readers。 I’ll however choose to be thankful that we got 3 wonderful and beautiful books, inside and out。 。。。more

No one should mess with the Widdershins sisters! They might have just a pinch of magic, but their bravery is limitless。When Betty is angry and determined to save the day, it always gives me chills。 Michelle Harrison wrote another amazing adventure for the Widdershins, that felt like the most suspenseful one so far。 It was quite gripping to figure out what was happening in Pendlewick, and arguably the scariest situation the sisters have been in。 It was great to see them in a different environment No one should mess with the Widdershins sisters! I love the adventures of the Widdershins sisters and this one sees them move away from Crowstone for a new start。 However, Betty, Charlie and Fliss soon come across a hidden room and a series of missing girls; tales of magic and mysterious goings on。 But when Fliss starts acting strangely, Betty and Charlie realise they have to act to save their family。

This book does not disappoint。 You also don't have to read the provide books to follow, however I would recommend reading book 1&2 first to fully appreciate everything that happens here! The sisters move to a new home, but their relationships are tested when everything isn't as it seems。 A magical mystery about belonging and fitting in。 And the magic continues! This book was so great! I loved the three sisters from the previous books so I knew I'd love this novel。 It feels to me like this book takes the series to an entirely different level。 The tension in this book, damn it。 I was so scared throughout the book, I couldn't even read it before bed (I am a jumpy person)。 But it was soooo good。 I would totally recommend this series ❤️ This book was so great! This was the third in a series of (so far) three books written by Michelle Harrison。 We follow the three Widdershins sisters, Charlie, Fliss and Betty, and their grandmother and father。 I really enjoyed A Pinch of Magic (the first book), A Sprinkle of Sorcery (the second book) and A Tangle of Spells was just the icing on the cake。 After selling the family's inn, The Poacher's Pocket, at the end of the second book, the three sisters move to the mysterious and confusing village of Pendlewick。 They This was the third in a series of (so far) three books written by Michelle Harrison。 We follow the three Widdershins sisters, Charlie, Fliss and Betty, and their grandmother and father。 I really enjoyed A Pinch of Magic (the first book), A Sprinkle of Sorcery (the second book) and A Tangle of Spells was just the icing on the cake。 After selling the family's inn, The Poacher's Pocket, at the end of the second book, the three sisters move to the mysterious and confusing village of Pendlewick。 They meet many obstacles here, such as salt on the windows, silver coins on the floor, and a very lifelike painting。。。I found this book to be a lot darker than the first two, but if anything it made the read even more enjoyable。 These books never fail to astonish me with massive plot twists and the best hidden pages at the back。 At the pack of A Tangle of Spells, you can see broomstick superstitions and a recipe for rose and pomegranate ice cream (Fliss's favourite!)。 This book was truly amazing, and I whole heartedly recommend it to everyone。 。。。more

I loved everything about this one。 The plot was engaging with a excellent balance of eerie atmosphere, action and character moments and the writing was beautifully enchanting, but it was the characters that really stole my heart, and I was sad when the book came to an end。

Another great instalment in the Pinch of Magic series。 It was great to spend more time with the Widdershins sisters, and to grow into different aspects of their characters。 They have moved to a new village and a new house, and all seems to be wonderful, until they hear stories of witchcraft and spells in local legend。 A secret room is discovered, friends and enemies are made, and in all it is a thrilling, spooky and magical adventure, with genuinely creepy moments。 I would recommend for readers Another great instalment in the Pinch of Magic series。 It was great to spend more time with the Widdershins sisters, and to grow into different aspects of their characters。 They have moved to a new village and a new house, and all seems to be wonderful, until they hear stories of witchcraft and spells in local legend。 A secret room is discovered, friends and enemies are made, and in all it is a thrilling, spooky and magical adventure, with genuinely creepy moments。 I would recommend for readers ages 10+。 。。。more

The third instalment of magical fun and adventures for the Widdershin sisters is the best yet。 I was completely absorbed in the tale of their new home, village and the villagers who refuse to talk about the magical witch tree, forest and all the strange happenings in their history and recent past。 A mix if superstition, myth and magic combined with excellent storytelling。 This is an adventure worth having。

The third adventure of the three Widdershin sisters takes us to a completely new place located inland, away from the sea。There they have to figure out their new surroundings。 And all is not well as it becomes very quickly clear。 Strange things start happening and Betty has got to rev up her game in order disentangle the spells that surround her family and the village they have come to live in。This definitely is the darkest and most tangled story so far in the series and I love it for it。 There i The third adventure of the three Widdershin sisters takes us to a completely new place located inland, away from the sea。There they have to figure out their new surroundings。 And all is not well as it becomes very quickly clear。 Strange things start happening and Betty has got to rev up her game in order disentangle the spells that surround her family and the village they have come to live in。This definitely is the darkest and most tangled story so far in the series and I love it for it。 There is also lots of fairy tales peaking out through the pages and tropes from folklore to further explore。 Still waiting though for Charlie to have her day to shine and be brilliant all around。I received an eARC from the publisher in return for an honest review。 。。。more

We’ve been good friends with the Widdershins girls for two books now, so it was clear I was going to continue the series。 This book was up on NetGalley, so I requested it, although I read the previous books as an audiobook。 I liked the first part a little better, but they both have a really good atmosphere and I knew I would love this one, too。CAWPIlE-score: 7。86/10C - Character: 8/10I love the characters in the series, I didn’t like Betty so much in the first book, but with this book, she final We’ve been good friends with the Widdershins girls for two books now, so it was clear I was going to continue the series。 This book was up on NetGalley, so I requested it, although I read the previous books as an audiobook。 I liked the first part a little better, but they both have a really good atmosphere and I knew I would love this one, too。CAWPIlE-score: 7。86/10C - Character: 8/10I love the characters in the series, I didn’t like Betty so much in the first book, but with this book, she finally grew to my heart。 Fliss is just the opposite。 At first, I thought she was growing up next to Betty, but now I felt she was too serious and really didn’t like that she didn’t care about her sisters。 My favourite is Charlie of course。 For Grandma and Dad’s character, I feel they are in the story to be parents, but they don’t add anything to the story。 I am sorry for this。A - Atmosphere: 9/10I really like the atmosphere of the books。 Dark, a little scary, but full of adventures。 This is the strength of this series。W - Writing: 8/10I like the writer’s books, I love their atmosphere, but I feel like she still can’t give me something and I blame the writing。 I liked the poems, but the diary excerpts were weird, more of a narration, as no one writes a diary like in this book。 And in the middle of the story, the recollection was strangely resolved for me as well。P - Plot: 8/10It was a cute story, but a bit boring。 But it was maybe because it was very predictable。 I didn't like the end, that solution was weird for me。I - Intrigue: 8/10It’s always easier to maintain my interest if I just listen to the book and don’t read。 Especially for English books。 Here I found some parts quite interesting (the beginning was unfortunately pretty boring) so it didn’t cause any difficulty paying attention, but I still had to put down the tablet several times。L - Logic: 7/10There were a few things in it that I didn’t feel the logic of。 In fact 。。。 But I don't want to go into details because of spoilers, I'm sure this was the weakest part of the book。E - Enjoyment: 7/10This book also received 4 stars, which is 7 points。I enjoyed this book too, but still, my favourite is the first one。 I didn't know if it would be the conclusion or not, but it turned out that there will be more books, and I will definitely read it/them, too。 。。。more
